In the world of extreme supercars, a name you could not have thought about though is Shayton, a new Slovenian brand that plans to build a supercar, one that would “sweep the competition”, as its overly optimistic press release reads

Their sports coupe is called the Equilibrium and will have a price tag of over €1,000,000 ($1.39 million). The Slovenian Zonda-wannabe will be powered by a V12 engine capable of 1,084 horsepower and 930 Nm of torque (686 lb-ft) at 5,000 rpm.

Thanks to the extensive use of aluminium, carbon fiber and titanium, the car is said to have a dry weight of 1,200 kg (2,645 lbs) and a power-to-weight ratio of 1.42 kg/hp. In theory, Shayton reckons the Equilibrium should be able to reach a top speed of over 400 km/h (249 mph) and cover the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and to 200 km/h in only 8.5 seconds. (via carscoop.blogspot.com)
