Now, here's a model of biblical proportions. A 78-year old retired farmer, named Alec Garrard, has dedicated a massive 33,000 hours to constructing a model of Herod's ancient temple. The model measures a whopping 20ft by 12ft - and it is still not finished. Garrard has hand-baked and painted every clay brick and tile and even sculpted 4,000 tiny human figures to populate the courtyards.

Garrard, from Norfolk, spent more than three years researching the temple, which was destroyed by the Romans 2,000 years ago and deemed to be one of the most remarkable buildings of ancient times. Well, 30 years of a human life, it's really worth especially when he dies, he leaves something to the world to remember him. Check out the rest of his excellent work!

Visitors come from all over the world to see the model and Mr Garrard provides binoculars so they can see all the details

In its heyday the temple complex covered 36 acres - four times the area of Windsor Castle

A MANCHESTER United fan has recreated Wembley Stadium in his front room after failing to snap up a ticket to see his heroes play tomorrow. Phil Spark brought football home with the installation of a turnstile, fake turf, stadium seats and a pie heater borrowed from a local chippy.

The 25-year-old surveyor from Didsbury, Manchester, even papered the walls of his home with match crowd scenes and installed a large flat-screen television on the wall. Spark will watch his team’s Carling Cup showdown match with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

He said: “This is the next best thing to being there. I was gutted when I couldn’t get a ticket for the game but I’ve spent the last few weeks making sure I won’t miss any of the action or atmosphere.”

Well at least this fan is not as crazy as one of Harry Potter fan: Brent Klovstad, 21  who spent $14,000 life savings to fly to UK just to stand outside the studios
