Inventions created to be used for something else, but unexpectedly turned into a completely different product.

This is a piece of whale vomit. A boy from the English town of Christchurch found it on the beach. Hardened sperm whale vomit, ambergris, is being used in perfumes to prolong their scent. This piece costs $60,000.

This clip, quietly posted just a few days ago, is giving rise to endless conspiracy theories. Why just the one image instead of the actual video? Does it only look realistic here?

The text on the YouTube description only thickens the plot...

Locals came across this strange creature while they were escorting a shooting party in Namibia. Witness's state that the creature was spotted apparently foraging for food, one of the shooting party wounded it with his rifle and it escaped into the thick brush. The locals tracked it to a nearby lair or nest where they found three more creatures of similar size.
The wounded creature attacked one of the shooting party and it was shot dead, the others escaped into the brush. The body of the creature was taken back to the local camp, police later removed its corpse and a full forensics investigation is under way. A video is pending on this so I will post if and when I receive it.

It doesn't seem like this person is making much of an effort to prove this is anything but a hoax. What do you think?
