Couple marry with a bear as the best man

It's hard to upstage a bride on her big day – but not when the groom has a grizzly bear for a best man. Brutus rather stole the limelight from actress Missi Pyle when Casey Anderson invited his half-tonne best friend to take part in his nuptials.

Having hand-reared the bear from a cub, Mr Anderson has forged a close relationship with the 2.3m (7ft 8in) animal and could think of no one better to be at his side for his wedding.

Brutus was not charged with looking after the couple's rings but he did join them at the reception in Montana to tuck into some wedding cake in front of 85 guests.

He met his 36-year-old wife through Brutus, after the bear was cast in one of her movies – the 2008 comedy Pretty Ugly People.
